Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong

(Gen-la) is the General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and Resident Teacher at Manjushri KMC.

She is an ordained Buddhist nun who has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over thirty years, sincerely training under his guidance in all aspects of Kadam Dharma. She is recognized as a fully qualified Dharma Teacher of both Sutra and Tantra.  Besides teaching at Manjushri KMC, Gen-la also teaches at major events throughout the world.

Through her gentle nature and profoundly relevant teachings, she has touched the hearts of thousands of people around the world, inspiring them to integrate Buddha’s teachings into their modern daily lives and find a peace and contentment that cannot be found elsewhere. For Kadampa practitioners, her good heart, powerful teachings and sincere, inspiring example are unequaled. Gen-la Dekyong is teaching Week 1 of the International Summer Festival in the UK.

Gen-la Kelsang Jampa is the Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) and Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Texas. He is an American Buddhist monk dedicated to helping people solve their daily problems by developing the capacity of their mind through the practice of meditation and modern Buddhism.

Gen-la Jampa has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. Under Geshe-la’s guidance, he has taught at many centers and events internationally. Gen-la is well-loved for his clear and inspiring teachings, and his ability to touch people’s hearts through his sincerity and loving-kindness. Gen-la Jampa is teaching this year’s International Spring Festival in the UK.

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada and the National Spiritual Director. A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT-IKBU), he has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for nearly thirty-five years. Gen Kelsang Rigpa is an American Buddhist monk, the Western US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC-Hollywood and KMC-California. He is a close disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, having received lineage blessings and oral transmissions directly from him.

Gen Rigpa’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help student discover for themselves how to integrate these timeless teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.

Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center New York City, and also Bodh Gaya Center in Bayside, Queens. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating that he is a senior lay teacher of the Kadampa Tradition.

Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and is especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.

Gen Kelsang Demo is the Midwestern US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher here at Kadampa Meditation Center Bloomington. She has been a student and disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over 20 years and has been teaching for 18 years.

Gen Demo is deeply respected as a teacher and practitioner. She demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear and inspiring teachings for people of all levels of interest. She was requested to come to the Midwest because of her warmth and clear presentation of Buddha’s teachings.

As a National Spiritual Director Gen Demo teaches at Centers across the region and the country, as well as at the National Kadampa Festival at our Temple in New York.
