Learn to Meditate Workshop

We all want to lead a stress-free life, feel confident in our own ability to deal with daily difficulties and to share good experiences with our friends, co-workers and family. In this meditation workshop, we will learn practical and meaningful ways of thinking that are easy to integrate into our daily life. As a result we will experience freedom from our day to day problems and find benefitting others effortless!

This half-day workshop includes guided meditations, practical advice on how to maintain the experience of inner peace in daily life and time to discuss the ideas presented.

What to expect?

    Guided Meditation

    Be guided in a short breathing meditation and connect to an experience of inner peace. No prior experience is necessary.

    Short Talk

    Every courses provides fundamental instruction on how to meditate as well. It also highlights one aspect of Dharma, or Buddha’s teachings, which focus on solutions to problems in daily life, inducing genuine optimism and increased happiness.

    Enjoy a Break

    Enjoy the company of like-minded people between classes in the Temple, Café and Bookstore. The break last 45 minutes.

    Session 2

    We review what was learned in the first session, meditate and discuss how we can integrate meditation in our daily life.

    At the end of the course, there is time for questions & answers. All advice is given as suggestions to improve personal understanding of the teachings and to provide examples of how to apply the teachings to daily life.

FAQs

Our meditation classes are very accessible. You do not need to bring any mats or wear any special clothing. We provide both cushions and chairs, and there is no physical exercise, yoga, or stretching involved.
Feel free to come however you are comfortable. We ask people to remove shoes and hats when you enter the meditation room.
Nothing in particular, but some people like to take notes so you may wish to bring a notepad and pen.
Yes, our Learn to Meditate courses are perfect for everyone. This course in particular is a great way to begin a meditation practice – no previous experience is necessary.
No, our classes are presented in a way that is accessible to everyone, and no religious obligation is required.
