Special 8 week Summer Series

Transforming Difficulties Through Meditation

Thursday Night Meditation Class

7pm - 8:30pm (begins July 11th)

with Christian Gauthier & Wenden Baldwin

The difference between a problem andan opportunity depends upon our attitude towards a challenging situation. Through investigating our mind we will come to find that most of the pain we experience associated with difficulties in our life is due to our mental attitude towards the situations rather than the circumstances themselves.

Understanding that we have a choice in how we internally respond to life’s challenges encourages and empowers us to train our mind to deal with difficulties in a healthy way—that helps us learn and grow from our experiences. Through the practice of meditation, we can look at challenging circumstances in our life, re-adjust our perspective on the situation, and practice cultivating an attitude that allows our mind to stay balanced and solution-oriented.

This series of classes is based on the famous Eight Verses of Training the Mind by the great Bodhisattva, Langri Tangpa, this inspiring book reveals essential methods for transforming all life's difficulties into valuable spiritual
insights and for developing universal love and compassion, the source of true happiness for both self and others.
