In the Sutras Buddha says: If you realize your own mind you will become a Buddha; you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere. During this retreat, Gen Rigpa will share the essence of the teachings from the Summer Festival in the UK and guide us in meditation on the nature of our mind.

Gen Kelsang Rigpa is an American Buddhist monk, the Western US National Spiritual Director and the Resident Teacher at KMC-Hollywood and KMC-California.

Gen Rigpa’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. He shows the joy of living a spiritual life, and is an inspiring example of Buddhism in practice. Through his clear presentation, he is able to help student discover for themselves how to integrate these timeless teachings into our modern world, making everyday life joyful and meaningful.

The True Meaning of Tantra

Tantra has many special qualities that help us to quickly solve our problems of attachment and transform it into bliss and emptiness. In this post festival retreat, Kadam Morten will guide us into gaining practical experience on how to do this.

Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center New York City, and also Bodh Gaya Center in Bayside, Queens. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and is especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.
