Living Meaningfully is Living Mindfully

October 12-December 14 (No Class December 7 Due to Guru Yoga Retreat)

Real happiness and peace and fulfillment in life begin here!

Our lives seem to pass in a blur. One day blends into the next, weeks fade into months, and before we know it we are looking back on a life spent frantically running around trying to fulfill the demands of others or of society, or simply trying to find meaning in front of a screen.

Many years later we are left asking “What actually happened”?

Distraction happened. The fast pace of modern day life happened. The stress, anxieties, fears, and insecurities that trouble all of us happened. Our anger, greed, and stubborn belief that we can find true happiness outside of ourselves happened. The result: a life without meaning.

The way towards meaning, happiness, and lasting satisfaction does not lie in drastically changing the externalities of our life. Of course we have to make some minor modifications, but the real secret lies in doing the same things we do but doing them with mindfulness.

The art of mindfulness is a profound and powerful meditative practice where we learn to bring spiritual meaning and depth into every situation that unfolds before us each day by approaching them with new eyes, a compassionate heart, greater insight, and with a certain meditative serenity. It is a skill we were not taught at school and one everyone can learn and become better at. It is the art of happiness.

In this series we will look at practical and actionable methods that we can all do to find meaning and satisfaction in every situation, in every day, in every year of our lives. You get the message: we will have found the secret of true, lasting happiness.
