Live Music All Day!

Eran Polat

Eran Polat is a guitarist and a composer from Turkey. When he came to the United States he began studying the guitar and has since focused on his diverse styles. His compositions are influenced by artists like Andreas Segovia,Paco De Lucia, Estas Tonne, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and many more. Studying the classical guitar under Bill Zito and Jerry Willard. He is currently a music major at Stony Brook University studying classical guitar. Eran has thus far recorded his first CD by the title of Visiones, and hopes to continue recording throughout his career. Eran is also the winner of the Nassau Community College Talent Contest (2012), Beverly Bonner Talent Contest (2013) and The Creative Writing Competition of NCC, in Performance (2014, 2015)

Keith Newman

Keith Newman has been playing the Catskills rock circuit since his teenage years, as part of various bands and in collaboration with other local musicians. As a solo vocalist who accompanies himself on six and twelve string guitar and harmonica, he continues to play a wide variety of acoustic music in and around the Catskill
Mountains of New York and across the tri-state region. His 700+ song repertoire includes covers by artists including the Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Simon & Garfunkel, Jackson Brown, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot and Paul Simon, as well as original material.

Anjimile

Anjimile combines introspective, emotionally charged lyricism and undeniably catchy, indie-pop melodies to craft songs that will get stuck in your head and your heart. Anjimile’s first full-length studio album, Human Nature, will be released in March 2015.

June & Matt

June Bender is a violinist and teacher from Philadelphia. June earned her bachelors in Violin Performance from Temple University, and masters in Violin Performance with Suzuki Pedagogy emphasis from The Hartt School. In addition to freelancing as a classical violinist, June stays active playing many styles of music including Irish fiddle, tango, swing jazz, and freely improvised music. June performs regularly in Philadelphia with Arcana New Music Ensemble, Prometheus Chamber Orchestra, and the Belleville Quartet.

Originally from Northeast PA, Matt Stein has been a musician and music lover for as long as he can remember. He received a jazz studies/bass performance degree from Temple University and has been active in the Philadelphia music scene, performing and touring in a variety of contexts, including rock bands illuminea and Hoots and Hellmouth, and many jazz and experimental ensembles, including Belleville Quartet.

Veronica

A self taught ukulele player and vocalist from Milford, Pennsylvania, Veronica plays catchy originals and covers in a soothing, fun fashion. Influences include Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, The XX.

Harmony & the Good Vibes

Organically grown through a number of spontaneous jams on the road and in the city of Boston, Harmony & the Good Vibes offers an interactive musical experience rooted in creative expression and that helps listeners naturally tune in to their good heart.

Over 40 Local Artists and Vendors

Last year we saw a wide array of vendors sharing their crafts and offerings. Some of the products on offer included handmade jewelry, hand painted saws, metaphysical goodies, raw juice, healing bracelets and positive affirmation bowls, upcycled crafts, vegan soaps and products, pet portraits, family photos, alpaca fur products, olive oil soap, quilted, knitted, crocheted home made gifts and home wares, photography, greeting cards, honey, fair items, and more!! What’s On?

Vendors and visitors are welcome to arrive Friday evening and/or stay onsite Saturday evening and enjoy all that the World Peace Temple has to offer.

Friday Schedule:

The center offers simple accommodation and home style vegetarian meals at reasonable rates. The staff are mostly volunteers committed to providing service to the public.

Additional activities that you can enjoy with your extended stay is our 4 onsite hiking trails on our 82 acres of beautiful woodlands, relaxing, meditating and enjoying the World Peace Temple’s gift shop and cafe.

Guided Meditations and Temple Tours: Refresh your mind within the Temple at our guided meditations. No experience is necessary, just sit back and relax and you’ll be led through a brief but peaceful meditation. Then explore the stunning architectural design of the World Peace Temple at one of our Temple Tours. Learn more about the Temple.

Temple Tours & Guided Meditation

Experience a guided meditation in the peace of the Temple. The short guided meditation will be followed by a 15-minute tour of the Temple interior, which will serve to explain the meaning of the beautiful images and symbolism contained within the Temple.
