Silencing The Inner Critic

Catskill Getaway Weekend & Workshop with Rebecca Rehorn
December 13 – 15
| Registration Opens October 30 at 2pm ET

Start your weekend getaway with our popular Food for Thought Friday evening series. In our Saturday morning workshop, learn how meditation can help us solve daily problems and find happiness. Spend your afternoon exploring our woodlands, or the charm of the Catskills. On Sunday, set a peaceful tone for your return by coming to our Sunday Prayers for World Peace class with Sara Wendt. You can book all three for a complete retreat, along with accommodations, or come for any part of the weekend!

Saturday Workshop:

Self-honesty is important, but harsh self-criticism is discouraging, crippling, and disempowering. If we are to subdue our harmful inner critic, we must learn how to acknowledge our current limitations while joyfully identifying with our potential for lasting peace and happiness. This course will impart special methods for accomplishing this goal. There will be ample time to meditate, identify the source of the critical voice and learn how to uproot it from our mind.

Workshop Teacher: Rebecca Rehorn

Rebecca has taught at KMC NY and maintained a Branch Class for nearly 14 years.  Rebecca is passionate about sharing Buddha’s teachings to help others gain an experience of inner spaciousness and peace.

Sunday Teacher: Sara Wendt

Sara has been a Kadampa practitioner for 23 years. She’s been teaching the Sunday Prayers for World Peace class since she moved to the area from NYC three years ago. Before that Sara taught various branches, General Program classes and the Foundation Program at the Kadampa Meditation Center, NYC. She’s very happy to now call Glen Spey her home.
